uefa european football championship 2012 -Eligibility


1) Each association must select its national representative team from players who
hold the nationality of its country and who comply with the provisions of Articles 15
to 18 of the Regulations governing the Application of the FIFA Statutes.

2) Each association must provide the UEFA administration with a list of 23 players
(surname, first name and date of birth) as well as the name and date of birth of the
head coach, mentioning his coaching qualification. This list must be in possession
of the UEFA administration at least four full days before each qualifying
competition match is played.

3) This list is provisional and amendments are allowed until the pre-match
organisational meeting during which the final list of 23 players must be confirmed
to the UEFA match delegate. For the match sheets paragraphs 14.04 to 14.11
apply respectively.

4) A list of 23 players must be in possession of the UEFA administration at least 10
full days before the opening match in the final tournament. Three of these 23
players must be goalkeepers.


5) In the event of serious injury to a listed player before his team’s first match in the
final tournament, the player in question may be substituted only if a doctor from the
UEFA Medical Committee and the team doctor concerned both confirm that the
injury is sufficiently serious to prevent the player from taking part.

6) Each association must ensure and confirm to UEFA by the deadline set for
submitting the players list that all registered players have undergone a medical
examination, including cardiovascular screening. This medical examination must have
been carried out within the two years prior to the start of the final tournament. The
UEFA administration provides each association with a document explaining all
mandatory examinations.

7) The list of 23 players is published by the UEFA administration.
