The Alouettes hire six new players for 2012 and 2013

The Montreal Alouettes announced yesterday that it signed contracts
with six non-Canadian players, all for the next two seasons in the
CFL. Newcomers are defensive back and kick return specialist Stephan
Neville, the receiver Felton Huggins, running back Devine Christmas,
defensive end Michael Montgomery, defensive back Dajuan Morgan and
winger défensifDuke Lemmens. Neville, a 5-foot 8 inches and 195
pounds, tied a record for the second division of the NCAA in scoring
11 career touchdowns on punt returns during his four-year university
coursewith Stonehill College. In 2010 he returned 26 kickoffs for 773
yards gains in addition to writing four major. As a defensive back, he
managed 164 tackles and 12 interceptions in the college ranks. Devine,
23, played the 2011 season with the Omaha Nighthawks in the United
Football League after attending training Aucamp Philadelphia Eagles.
The former running back from West Virginia University in the NCAA had
his best season in 2009 when he garnered 1,742 combined yards in
addition to include 14 major. Hefinished university with sonstage 4315
rushing yards and 29 affected, for an average of 5.9 yards per carry.

Huggins spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons within the practice squad of
the Buffalo Bills. The player aged 28, 6 feet 2 inches and 168 pounds,
has an agreement with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2007 before moving
to the Frankfurt Galaxy in NFL Europe, with whom he participated in
the World Bowl. Starting player at Southeastern Louisiana University
for three seasons, he finished his collegiate career with 162
receptions for 2,350 yards gains in addition to scoring 22 touchdowns.
Montgomery was drafted in the sixth round by the Green Bay Packers in
2005 and the 6-foot 5 inches and 182 pounds has evolved primarily as a
reserve defensive end in his first three seasons. In its first 56
parties in the NFL, a player 28 years old has managed 56 tackles and
five sacks. After a stint with the Minnesota Vikings, he returned with
the Packers in October 2010. It is aligned with the locomotives in the
UFL Las Vegas in 2011. Third round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs
in2008, Morgan has managed 42 tackles in 30 games in the NFL. He
played two seasons with the Chiefs before joining the
Coltsd'Indianapolis in 2010. This player 6 feet and 203 pounds was
part of the practice squad of the New York Jets last year. He
playedhis college football with the Wolfpack of North Carolina State
University which was then Marc Trestman as offensive coordinator.

Lemmens played four seasons with the Gators University of Florida,
where he won the national championship in 2008. In 45 games with the
Gators, including 14 as a starter, the 6-foot 3 inches and 250 pounds
recorded 66 tackles, five sacks and 9.5 tackles for losses. Players
aged 23 participated in training camp with the Arizona Cardinals last
year.
